Ramen Raves Are Coming To Sydney & Melbourne

It’s fair to say that we’re having “a moment” with ramen right about now – Melbourne opened that 24 hour ramen joint earlier this year, and Japan, the home of ramen, love their national soup so much that they opened a museum dedicated to it. Now we may have reached peak ramen with news that Melbourne and Sydney will host their very first Ramen Raves in October.

So what exactly is a ramen rave? Well it’s just like the package says – there will be ramen, and there will be raving. At the same time. What a time to be alive.

The ramen gods Good Food Month is the host of these lavish affairs that will see international ramen master Ivan Orkin descend on both Sydney restaurant Ms.G’s and Melbourne’s Flinders Lane hotspot Supernormal for an evening of tasty noodles and disco beats.

As well as fabulous broth, guests will also be treated to music from Andrew Levins in Sydney and Andras Fox and Zach PM in Melbourne while Orkin brews up a huge batch of his signature shio ramen dish.

The Sydney event will take place at Ms.G’s on Sunday October 25, but unfortunately tickets to this event have already sold out. The Melbourne ramen rave happens on Wednesday October 28 at Supermormal and tickets are $95 per person and include ramen, snacks and drinks. Booking is essential – check out more details here.
