The World’s Steepest Zip-Line Will Have Some Of The World’s Best Views

Rainforest Adventures zip-line Saint Martin

Everyone knows the best views are seen from up high, so what better way to soak up all the tropical beauty of the Caribbean than by zooming through the air on the world’s steepest zip-line?

Saint Martin is located in the northeast Caribbean Sea, just 300km east of Puerto Rico, and is home to pristine beaches, secluded coves, vibrant nightlife and, soon, the world’s steepest zip-line.

Rainforest Adventures in Saint Martin’s Rockland Estate will feature a new zip-line dubbed “The Flying Dutchman” and it’s set to be the park’s main attraction. The ride will see thrill-seekers descend a massive 320m along an 850m cable at speeds of up to 90km per hour.

Other park attractions include The Souliga Sky Explorer — a four-person chairlift which takes riders up more than 900m to the highest point on Saint Martin, which boasts insane 360-degree views of the ocean and surrounding islands.

The park was built on an historic plantation site, the Emilio Wilson Estate, with buildings dating back to the 1700s. Guests will have the opportunity to learn about the island’s culture and history at some of historic structures before getting their adrenaline fix.

Rainforest Adventures will open on November 24. For more information and to book, visit the website.
