This Iconic Hotel Is Hosting A ‘Downton Abbey’-Themed Afternoon Tea
Nothing screams “fancy” quite like the English period drama Downton Abbey. If you’ve ever seen an episode, you’ll know what I’m talking about – it’s all elegant, well-dressed people speaking in British accents.
And, if you’ve always wondered what it was like to live like the upper class during the early 1900s, you’re in luck – The Plaza Hotel has teamed up with NBCUniversal International Studios to bring Dowton Abbey: The Exhibition to Manhattan.
Yep, you can now live an afternoon in the life of the patrician Crawley family in the most fitting way possible – at a tea party. At The Plaza Hotel, the finest blends of loose-leaf tea will be flowing and the fanciest shortbread cookies will be dished out for guests to sample.

That’s a good enough reason to play dress up, we say.
Dowton Abbey: The Exhibition will run from November 18, 2017, through to January 31, 2018. Tickets start at $40 ($30USD) and can be booked via the website.
