We were all aboard when the news broke that Paris was planning a floating hotel on the river Seine because hello, the expansive canals of Paris’ Seine River are just ripe for a little floatel action.
So with the news that that same hotel has finally opened its doors, we were keen to a look inside.
The Off Paris Seine was converted from an old catamaran, and is moored in the ultra cool 13th arrondissement in central Paris. The eco-chic building includes 54 rooms, four suites and a 400 square-metre terrace on the river bank. The pièce de résistance however is the 15-metre plunge pool. Wowee.
And it’s not just hotel guests that can revel in its beauty up close – the poolside bar area is open from 5pm to 1am daily with cocktails and tapas on menu.
The entire structure is painfully stylish too, with a distinct air of Parisian flair.
Rooms at Off-Paris Seine start at around €160 ($244 AUD) per night. Sign us up, s’il vous plaît!
