These Are The 10 Most Popular National Parks In Australia, According To All Your Instagram Pics

I know I don’t need to say it, but I will anyway: Australia is a very beautiful country. Our national parks are so beautiful, and so different from each other and the rest of the world. Which is the MOST beautiful though?

Well, if Instagram posts are anything to go by, there is a clear winner.

Myprotein analysed millions of photos to see which national parks are getting the most feed time on our ‘Grams. The result is a pretty epic top 30 list. We’ve got the top 10 here.

#1 Blue Mountains National Park, NSW

With nearly 1.6 million photos, the Blue Mountains took out top spot by some pretty clear margins. It’s not hard to see why either, unique mountain silhouettes, cute towns, the best star gazing, amazing food and day spas.

#2 Whitsunday Islands National Park, QLD

I mean, who could resist filling their Insta page with the 1,092,221 posts counted of these white sand beaches and crystal clear blue waters? Go sailing, lie one of many beaches, spice up the romance, live in luxury and, of course, get out onto the reef.

#3 Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, NT

With 662,600 posts, my only surprise here is that there isn’t more. It’s the perfect time for Aussies to get over to Uluru while there aren’t all the international crowds. Here’s your packing list, and here’s a guide for how to do the trip on a budget.

#4 Great Sandy National Park, QLD

When they say great and sandy, they mean it. There are 519,417 posts of this national park just north of the Sunshine Coast. Most people who visit the area like to follow the picturesque Cooloola Great Walk along epic coastline.

#5 Grampians National Park, VIC

Being an easy two and a half-hour’s drive from Melbourne probably helps with the 320,702 posts of the Grampians, but the beauty would be worth a much longer trip. If you’re new to the area, here’s a guide to where you should camp, eat and hike.

#6 Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park, TAS

When I finally get to do the hike around Cradle Mountain, I will take this national park to number one with wombat pictures alone. Right now, though, there are 298,149 posts of these dramatic rocky landscapes and picturesque lakes.

#7 Daintree National Park, QLD

With 189,397 posts, Kakadu nabs its spot in the top 10. The flat plans, jagged rock formations and numerous waterholes make this a pretty unique landscape. You could spend forever here, but here’s a guide if you only have a long weekend, and here are some impressive drone shots.
