There’s so much to be celebrated about pizza. The cheese, the sauce, the stretchy, steamy dough. We’re huge fans of this comfort food, so you can imagine our delight when we heard about a pizza festival making its way to Melbourne.
As part of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival, the Crown Live Pizza Festival will be bringing the goods to the Crown Riverwalk. The true spirit of Naples will be alive and well with the thick aroma of delicious pizza in the air. Yes please!
Johnny Di Francesco of Gradi, winner of the 2014 World Pizza Championships in Parma, will even be holding a masterclass on how to make the perfect pizza. As well as Di Francesco, local and international professionals will be banging about the pans before dishing up their variations on the Italian classic.
There’ll be a bunch of pop-ups for you to enjoy from San Pellegrino and Vittoria Coffee, along with Veuve Clicquot, Moretti and Pimms bars for the 18 and over crowd.
The event is free and will run over the weekend of Friday 31 March through to Sunday 2 April. If you’re down that way, make sure you don’t miss it! If you do miss out, luckily Naples will always be there. So that’s always worth a visit too. More info here.
