Please Enjoy This Video Of Flamingos Visiting The Other Animals In An Aquarium
Oh to be a pat of flamingo loose in Texas State Aquarium. Following the aquarium’s closure to slow the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus, the animals have been allowed to roam more freely. That includes these flamingos, who were taken on a tour to meet animals in other exhibits.
The aquarium shared a video to Facebook, stating: “With the Aquarium mostly empty, our flamingos were able to explore some other areas, including the underwater exhibits of Caribbean Journey!”

The video comes a week after we were introduced to the penguins in Shedd Aquarium, who went on their own field trip after their home closed to the public.

Seems like the flamingos aren’t the only ones at Texas State Aquarium taking advantage of the shutdown. A quick peak at their Instagram reveals that Nacho, a red-legged seriema, got her own private tour of the Caribbean Journey exhibit.

Who would have thought that zoos and aquariums would be out here providing so much joy even when they’ve been forced to close to the public? Zoos around the world are live streaming the daily lives of their animals, from snow leopard cubs to whales and pandas. Suddenly my skin is cleared, my anxiety is gone, and the apocalypse is still ongoing but we’ll get through it.
