It’s truffle season — a time of year that divides tastebuds among lovers and haters, there is no in between. You haters are crazy though, and probably didn’t click on this article, so I’m going to focus my attention on the lovers. In particular, the lovers who want to eat truffles in Sydney.
The Aussie truffle season runs from June to September (aka winter) every year. You can try your hand at foraging for the earthy gold yourself, or you can be more on my wavelength and simply search the best Sydney restaurants that have already turned the truffles into magic for your mouth.

Bodhi Restaurant Bar is Sydney’s best plant-based restaurant (imo), and now they’ve created a new truffle noodle dish for the season. Think a $39 medley of mushrooms on handmade flat noodles, served in a buttery soy sauce and topped with truffle shavings.

On Tuesday 6 July, devour an exclusive eight-course tasting menu for $180 per person — yes, that means truffle desserts too.

After a super popular 2020 run, these guys have created a brand-new truffle menu featuring six new sweet and savoury truffle dishes. Like the Egmont Fried Chicken Hotcake for $36.

On July 8 and 9, this laneway turns into a “rustic winter truffle garden pop-up featuring Michelin Star-trained chef, Raphael Szurek and all things truffle from The Truffle Farm”.
