Catch Up, World: London Is Getting A Cheese-Themed Hotel
For most people, a good hotel means a comfy bed, a fair price and better-than-average room service. But do you know what’s sorely missing from that equation? An on-demand service that brings you cheese from check-in until (hopefully late) checkout.
If that sounds like the stuff of your cheese dreams, you better get to London quick.
For a limited time, UK-based chain Café Rouge is opening a one-off cheese-themed hotel suite in the London neighbourhood of Camden.
So, what does that mean exactly? (Apart from many, many cheesy puns on the Café Rouge website.) The suite is ‘draped from head-to-toe in themed decor’, including cheese boardgames, cheese soap (so many questions already) and cheese installations. Most crucially, there’s a mini-bar stacked with cheese and wine and a cheese hotline delivery service.
By now, you’re probably wondering how to get that midnight Brie.
To win a night’s stay in the suite, you need to enter a competition via Café Rouge. Entries close January 21, 2020. Only winners will learn the exact Camden location of this dairy dreamscape. Those lucky chosen ones also receive a dinner voucher for your restaurant of choice – which, in Camden, gives you a lot of options.
As part of the competition, Café Rouge is asking entrants to make a donation to the Prince’s Trust charity, which helps young people aged 11 to 30 get into jobs, education and training.
Now for the real question: how do we ensure this hotel concept is exported to the wider world?
