15,000 Vouchers For Half-Price Experiences Around Cairns Will Soon Be Available To Queenslanders

You’ve got to love all the state Government incentives to get people back out and about, pumping money back into tourism. New South Wales, South Australia and Victoria have all had their own schemes, and now Queenslanders can have the chance of scoring up to $200 off their next tropical vacay.

From now until March 11, any Queensland residents over 18 (with the proper ID) can enter a ballot to win one of 15 000 “Cairns Holiday Dollars” vouchers.

Each voucher allows the holder to book a tour and enter an attraction (which has opted to participate, of course) around the Cairns and Greater Barrier Reef area for 50 percent off, up to the value of $200. They can be used between March 15 and June 25 this year.

What exactly is the Cairns and Greater Barrier Reef area? Well, Cairns, obviously. Then also “throughout Tropical North Queensland including Mission Beach, Port Douglas, the Atherton Tablelands, Cooktown and the Torres Strait”, according to the website. Plus “the area covered by Tourism Tropical North Queensland — Cardwell in the south, north to the Torres Strait and west to the NT border”.

You can enter the ballot and get more details here.

If you need inspo on once to do once you score a voucher (or, you know, just because it’s an awesome area and you should go anyway), we’ve got you.
