This Gorgeous Pastel Cafe Is A Wes Anderson-Inspired Dream

If Wes Anderson designed a café (okay, he already has, but stick with us here), we have no doubt it’d look something like the Philippines’ Café Congreso.
Opened by owner Joseph Malabanan earlier in 2017, Café Congreso boasts candy pink walls and booths, beautiful green-and-gold trim, and minimalist décor and tablewear arranged just so.
Even the food is Instagram-worthy: mini apple pies with hand-braided pastry, perfectly whipped matcha milkshakes and picture-perfect strawberries and cream.
“We believe that a good coffee experience is more than just a good cup of coffee alone. It’s also about paying careful attention in designing and creating a beautiful, warm, and inviting space that brings people together,” Malabanan’s team write on the café’s Facebook page.
The specialty coffee company is just one in a long line of Wes Anderson-inspired cafes, Airbnbs and luggage. The director’s whimsical style even compelled Reddit users to share snaps of landmarks that look like they’re straight out of one of one of his films.
