Tickets Are On Sale Now For NT’s Biggest Music Festival BASSINTHEGRASS 2022

If you’ve never been to Darwin, you’re missing out. If you’ve never been to Darwin specifically for a huge festival like BASSINTHEGRASS, you haven’t lived.

Luckily, tickets for the Northern Territory’s biggest music festival at the iconic Mindil Beach have been announced for 2022, taking place on May 21.

2021’s festival just wrapped up and, having been there, I can tell you it was bloody epic. Sure, it had the extra energy of being the first major festival since Covid ruined everything (it attracted a crowd of 14,000 — the kind of crowd I hadn’t even realised how much I’d missed). But it’s also just a fun vibe that runs all through the city, a ridiculously beautiful location, and a massive line-up of Aussie artists.

The 2021 lineup featured a mix of Aussie and Territory artists, offering a mix of pop, rock and electronic, fronted by Illy, Ocean Alley, Missy Higgins, DMA’S, Violent Soho, Chillinit and Hayden James.

Plus there was G Flip, Lime Cordiale, Peking Duk, Thelma Plum, SAFIA, The Jungle Giants, Jack River, The Reubens, Boo Seeka and Casii Williams. You get it, this festival attracts epic artists.

If you get in super quick you can nab limited Early Bird tickets right now at 2018 prices – that’s just $75. After that General Release tickets go on sale for $110. But Remember – this event usually sells out so don’t faff about.

“BASSINTHEGRASS keeps getting bigger and better every year. This year’s line-up is a testament to the event’s stature on the festival scene,” said Northern Territory Major Events Company (NTMEC) CEO, Tim Watsford.

“We can’t wait to get stuck in and deliver another epic event in 2022,” he continued. “BASSINTHEGRASS 2021 sold out months in advance and we expect the 2022 instalment to attract even larger crowds from around Australia”.
