Bag Raiders Are Playing A Free Gig At The Coogee Pavilion Rooftop This Weekend

Bag Raiders will play a free show at the Coogee Pavilion Rooftop

Our wish upon a shooting star has come true – legendary Aussie band Bag Raiders are playing a DJ set at the Coogee Pavilion Rooftop this weekend. And it’s totally free!

Head down to Coogee in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs this Sunday, March 17 to hear the duo spin their mammoth dance tracks, including their new single “Lightning” which is already racking up listens online and on triple j.

They’ll be blasting feel-good dance tunes from 12pm on and entry is free. We couldn’t have planned a better way to close out the weekend if we tried!

Bag Raiders shot to fame with their single “Shooting Stars”, a song which also became a viral meme that you’ve no doubt heard during a late-night YouTube deep dive. But the pair are also one of Australia’s best bands around, putting out electro-pop songs that are almost impossible not to dance to.

They’re about to put out their long-anticipated second album Horizons, almost ten years after their debut LP. We can’t wait to crank it over the speakers in the AWOL office, and this gig will be a good teaser of what’s to come.

In the years since their debut album, Bag Raiders have released a string of EPs and toured around the world, shaken up the festival scene and kept one foot in the club with plenty of DJ sets around Australia.

The Coogee Pavilion Rooftop is a perfect venue for a cheeky Sunday gig. Grab a beer and look out over the ocean while Bag Raiders give you a sneaky early listen to their new tracks, or get down to dance the afternoon away. We’ll see you on the dance floor!
