Where To Shop For Bargains
Unless you’re after something locally made, you’re not going to find anything in Auckland you couldn’t find at home for the same price or cheaper. But if you’re into secondhand shopping, go to Tatty’s (159 Ponsonby Road or 47 High Street). It’s one of those recycled boutique-types, so it’s not thrift store cheap, but they have nice clothes. For thrift stores, walk down K Road or take any bus to the last suburb and have a look around for church stores. For second-hand records, visit local institution Real Groovy (438 Queen St).
