Australia’s cutest snacks have arrived.
The official Hello Kitty Cafe, the first of its kind in Australia, had a soft launch on Sunday in Adelaide’s Chinatown. It’s part bakery, part dessert restaurant, part internet cafe and 100 percent kuwaii. Aimee Knight reviewed the opening for Junkee.
“Nestled amongst cheap eats, Asian grocers and discount souvenir stores, Hello Kitty Cafe Australia caters to those who long to put a ‘Chocolate Potty Plant’ or ‘Mysterious Black Duke’ in their mouth, and chase it down with a ‘Surfed Baby’ or ‘Grassy Bee’.”
The Hello Kitty Cafe is at 31 Moonta St, off Gouger St. It’s open daily from 10am ’til late.
