It’s been a year since Instagram introduced its Stories platform, and we’ve been geo-tagging our holiday sunset snaps like mad ever since.
Now, to celebrate Stories’ first birthday, Instagram has revealed the destinations we just can’t help bragging about – and they’re not where you might expect. Surprisingly, bustling Jakarta, in Indonesia, took out the top spot.
While Instagram haven’t revealed exactly how many virtual nods the world’s most-tagged locations received, it could have something do with the fact that Indonesia is Instagram’s biggest market in the Asia Pacific Region, with 45 million users producing twice as many Stories as the global average. Or simply because Jakarta is awesome.
