These Are The 20 Most Popular Holiday Homes In Australia, So Time For A Holiday

Stayz has announced the finalists in their annual Holiday Homes of the Year Awards – and it confirms we’ve all been thoroughly embracing the road trip this year.

After crunching the numbers from the last year, the Stayz shortlist showcases the country’s most popular stays based off the most booked and best reviewed properties.

Unsurprisingly, the majority of holiday homes (95 percent) are located in regional Australia or outside city centres, proving how popular road trips are this year. Among the top 20, Victoria and New South Wales both take out seven spots; Queensland and Tasmania are home to two finalists; and Western Australia and South Australia each claim one.

Stayz are yet to drop the major winner (that’s next week), but in the meantime these 20 shortlisted properties will provide you with plenty of inspo and options for a sweet regional getaway – from a floating shipping container ‘cube’ on the Murray River to a health retreat in Daylesford.
