Qantas Is Hosting A Huge Australia-Wide Instameet

Qantas is celebrating 95 years this month – happy birthday guys! – and to mark this milestone, they’re hosting a huge Instameet series to capture what their slogan “Feels Like Home” means to different Australians.

The Qantas Instameet will involve meet ups in nine different cities over nine days with notable Instagrammers hosting events and running workshops during this time. This will be Australia’s largest Instameet to date and will spur a huge photographic journey across the country and online through the hashtag #FeelsLikeHome.

It doesn’t matter whether you’ve got 10 or 10,000 followers, all social media enthusiasts are invited to join in on the meet ups and capture some of Australia’s most unique sights – whether it’s the country’s most beautiful sunset at Darwin’s Mindil Beach, a quokka selfie on Rottnest Island off the coast of Perth, or a quintessential Melbourne laneway shot.

The fabulous hosts of the Instameets include Jarrad Seng, Ingrid WeirPaul Pichugin, Andrew Bartholemew and Emilie Ristevski. These Instagram stars have a combined total of 695,000 followers – enough people to fill the MCG seven times over.

The Instameet series begins in Perth on November 7, with each city hosting two events per day. The event will then travel to Brisbane, Uluru, Hobart, Darwin, Canberra, Melbourne, Adelaide and finish up in Sydney on November 15.

Everybody is invited to share what #FeelsLikeHome means to them. Instagrammers who are keen to get involved can RSVP to their preferred event on Facebook. Some of the excursions will have limited numbers so guests who are keen to get involved should register online to secure their spot sooner rather than later. People around Australia are also invited to host their own #FeelsLikeHome Instameet on the day or just participate by adding the hashtag to their photos.
