Photographer Captures The Beauty Of Tokyo’s Rare Snowfall

When most people think about Tokyo, they picture a concrete jungle with busy streets and neon-clad buildings. But when it snows – which it rarely does – the city is transformed into a kind of dreamscape. Local photographer Yuichi Yokota spent some time wandering Tokyo’s streets this past winter, capturing ethereal, snowy scenes across the city. “I was experimenting with how Tokyo architecture, townscape and snow could be [captured],” he told AWOL.
