You Can Swim Up To Your Room At This Fancy Hotel

Possibly the most elite form of luxury is stepping out from your hotel room directly into a warm, turquoise coloured pool. At the Grand Riviera Princess, you can do just that, in impeccable style.

As their website states, you can choose to “do it all or do nothing at all” at the Grand Riviera Princess in Playa Del Carmen, a city right on the edge of the Caribbean Sea in Mexico. Having a pool directly outside your room kind of makes the whole “do it all” thing sound a little overwhelming when you can spend your days lazing about in this swimming haven. There’s really no reason to ever leave.

Of the 672 (!) rooms at the hotel, 42 of them feature this glorious backdoor pool treat. There’s also 12 other swimming pools at the resort, a dozen restaurants and bars, and heaps of daytime activities including trips to the white sandy beaches just a few blocks away.

But if you’re looking to go all out, the elusive platinum rooms offer the height of luxury at the Grand Riviera Princess – delight in 24 hour room service, access to an exclusive part of the nearby beach, bathrobes and slippers, butler service, entry to the Platinum lounge and a pillow menu (which we can only assume is a smorgasbord of pillows to choose from).
