You Can Now Glamp On A New York City Rooftop

The city that never sleeps is now inviting you to sleep on one of its famed rooftops, right in the heart of The Big Apple. This could either be super awesome, or terribly noisy – we can’t decide.
This particular rooftop belongs to AKA, a permanent resident building that’s renting out its top floor Sky Suite for a fee of around $2000 USD per night (that’s around $2800 AUD if you’re wondering). Sure the fee is hefty, but it’s totally worth it once you spy that breathtaking view and all the extra goodies you get.
The outdoor penthouse is stacked with La Maison du Chocolat s’mores and chocolate covered strawberries, as well as a bottle of champagne or vodka on arrival. There’s a plasma TV, an e-reader, a high-powered telescope (!) and a fully stocked gourmet kitchen. It’s just like heaven.
If that doesn’t sweeten the deal enough, you also have access to the entire top floor of the building, which includes a huge luxury suite complete with indoor bedroom, kitchen area, lounge room and a bathroom that includes an oversized rainfall shower. Fancy! Did we mention it’s on the 17th floor?
Of course, Melbourne wholeheartedly embraced the idea of rooftop glamping earlier in the year, with St Jerome’s – The Hotel opening on the rooftop of Melbourne Central. Check out our review of it here.
