This Incredible Time-lapse Video Makes Sydney Look So Tiny

I don’t know how they did it, but I like it.

This incredible video called Tiny Sydney was created by some sort of cinematography wizard, we assume, and it makes the vast and lively city look remarkably, incredibly small.

The video was shot from numerous locations around the city including Bondi Beach, Sydney Tower Eye, Pylon Lookout, Dudley Page Reserve and the rooftop terrace of the Four Seasons Hotel, using tilt-shift and time-lapse to create the shrunken effect.

The short film makes Sydney look like a mini model of a city with even tinier living humans strolling around it, bathing in its tiny beaches and exchanging small talk (get it?) on its tiny rooftops.

The film was created by time-lapse photographer Filippo Rivetti who was born in Italy but moved to Australia eight years ago and was inspired to take up photography by his new country’s captivating beauty. He now travels the world capturing incredible images with his camera, focussing on time-lapse and hyper-lapse.

Watch for yourself – the results are phenomenal. We’re just enjoying what’s probably the only chance we’ll ever get to call a major city “cute”.
