This Glastonbury Glamping Site Costs $26K

Camping festivals rule and Glastonbury is certainly one of the world’s best. But what happens when you’ve had it up to here with wayward tent poles, muddy boots and a lack of showers? Well, you can book a room in one of Glastonbury’s new accommodation pods instead.

This year’s Glastonbury Festival will see the likes of Adele, Coldplay, Beck, LCD Soundsystem and more grace the stage for a mammoth five-day event. While the majority of Glastonbury’s 135,000 punters will be stumbling back to their tents with sore feet, dead phones and winning smiles, another batch of festival heroes will be stumbling back to a slightly more stylish home.

Say hello to the glorious Tenthouse Suite – yours for a cool £13,000 (that’s $26,000 for us Aussies).

The Tenthouse Suite features: three fully furnished bedrooms; one bathroom with shower and flushing toilet; a huge living and dining area; a dressing room; luxury linens; towels and toiletries for every guest and multiple power sockets to change those devices. Music schmusic, this is where you’d want to spend your Glastonbury, am I right? (Not really.)

While a room as fancy as this one would probably be graced by the Kate Moss’ or the Chris Martins of the world, you can indulge in a little high-class glamping for a little bit less as well.

The Pop Up Hotel is offering single room yurts and luxury tents for $3,600, or Airstream lodgings for around $12,000. (Keep in mind these prices don’t include the price of your festival ticket.)

Beds! Real, proper beds! Cabins and tents come in various shapes and sizes, all offering supreme luxury right in the heart of Glastonbury. Guests will have access to hot showers, a spa, in-house restaurant and an exclusive pool, bar and sun deck.
