Your worst nightmares are – quite literally – coming to life.
After debuting in Sydney and Melbourne last year, the Horror Movie Campout is returning to both cities in the coming months to make sure you never get a restful sleep ever again, probably.
Billed as “the scariest festival in Australia”, the Horror Movie Campout takes all of the great things about a regular festival (camping! delicious food! fun people!) and adds a bunch of horror movies, fake chainsaws and those creepy animal masks that serial killers absolutely love to don in said movies. The results – needless to say – are terrifying.
[related_articles]26827[/related_articles]As well as a massive outdoor cinema screening the spookiest in horror films, guests can also expect live music, something called a “death chamber” scare maze, and actors literally roaming the grounds in dress up to deliver fright after fright after fright. Sleep well, guys.
The immersive festival advises that you bring a group of friends, a torch and a clean pair of underwear. The Melbourne event is taking place from December 3-4 at the (literally haunted) Point Cook Homestead, with the Sydney event happening from March 11-12, 2017 at Mt Penang Gardens (with tickets for Sydney on sale soon). You can purchase Melbourne tickets from here.
