Sydney’s Outdoor Bed Cinema Is Returning For A Second Season

Most of our movie watching experiences take place in one of two places: the cinema, or in bed. Both have their benefits, but which one do you choose? It turns out the correct answer is, in fact, both.

After a super successful first season, where all tickets sold out in under two weeks, Sydney’s Mov’In Bed cinema is back for a second season. The idea takes the concept of ‘outdoor cinemas’ and adds in a whole new level of comfort by placing a bunch of inflatable double beds, equipped with pillows and blankets, in front of the screen under the night sky.

The cinema will showcase a mix of local and international films under the stars for 45 days, ranging from animations from iconic Japanese director Hayao Miyazaki, to the latest blockbusters like Star Ways Rogue One and Assassin’s Creed, to horror films like The Conjuring 2 that will have you snuggling a little further under the blankets.

There will be 150 beds available each night, sleeping three per bed, or you can sit on the grass with your own blanket in the beautiful surrounds of The Crescent in Parramatta Park, which forms a natural amphitheatre, almost like nature wanted it to be a cinema. With beds. And wine. Definitely wine.
