Throughout the month of October, the Ivy Pool Club’s cabanas will be transformed into tiny bars, inspired by the laneways of Tokyo’s famous Golden Gai. Each bar will embrace a different theme and food offering, providing a unique cultural experience in the rooftop oasis.
Treat yourself to a night of sushi, nigiri, yakitori and ramen, pairing your Japanese eats with with a curated selection of exclusive beer and saké. Cheers!

Night Noodle Markets
If the thought of some night-time noodles in your belly makes your mouth water, you’re in luck — the dates for the Sydney Night Noodle Markets have been set for 2017, once again as part of Good Food Month.
The markets will feature 40 sizzling food stalls dishing up the best Asian-inspired street eats the city has to offer, with the atmosphere inspired by a traditional Asian market. There will also be live DJ sets, solo musicians and LED-lit dancing dragons.

Pinot Palooza
Carriageworks in Eveleigh is gearing up to celebrate everyone’s favourite red — pinot noir. The festivities will feature some of the finest pinot noirs produced in the southern hemisphere, with a line-up of some of the best wine producers from Australia and New Zealand.
Along with plenty of vino to sample, you’ll be treated to loads of delicious foods and live entertainment.
Tickets start at $65.

Sculpture by the Sea
Sculpture by the Sea has been a hit ever since it first set up on the shores of Bondi in 1997. This year’s display will showcase the works of 110 artists from 16 different countries in one of Australia’s biggest public art exhibitions along a 2km coastal trail.
The trail begins at the southern end of Bondi Beach, just past Bondi Icebergs, below Notts Avenue. The path winds its way along the coast to Mark’s Park, where you’ll find the majority of the installations.

Bon Fromage Cheese Festival
After roaring success in Melbourne, Sydney is gearing up to experience all the cheesy goodness of the Bon Fromage Cheese Festival. Half a tonne — yes, five hundred kilograms — of cheese will be up for sampling over the weekend.
The three-day festivities boast a piazza for all your cheese needs, including a wine bar and a festival stage set to deliver insightful cheese masterclasses and demonstrations. Entry is free.

Parramatta Lanes
Parramatta’s multi-award winning festival Parramatta Lanes is back for another year, taking over twelve laneways and transforming Sydney’s west into a four-day food fiesta. You can expect a whole bunch of delicious treats from more than 50 food stalls that will span across the streets. Espresso martinis, gourmet double-smoked NY style hotdogs and yummy burgers are all up for grabs.

Oktoberfest
Hold on to your schooners, Sydney — Oktoberfest is coming! For much of the month, The Rocks’ Munich Brauhaus will be dedicated to festival necessities like ceremonial bier keg tappings, Dogs of Oktoberfest costume contests, and pork knuckle-eating championships.
