This Coles Flagship Has Transformed Into A Sustainability-Focused Concept Store

Coles is really doing the most with their new concept stores, like the bougie stores TikTok went nuts for. Now, they’ve just opened a sustainability-focused concept store in Melbourne.

The Moonee Ponds flagship store got a little makeover, with what Coles reckons is the future of its offerings. The upgrade (IMO) features never-before-seen supermarket innovations and an unrivalled in-store foodie experience to make supermarket shopping healthier and more sustainable”, according to the grocery giants.

You guys, it includes refill stations for laundry soaps and household detergents from Aussie brands Omo and Surf (yessss, reusing packaging). There also be refills stations for body wash, handwash, shampoo and conditioner filled with Sukin products. Sorry, but this has made me so exciting.

It’s also trialling things like misting and cold plates for produce so they can use paper instead of plastic packaging, a coffee-cup recycling station and a station to recycle soft plastics into benches, furniture, playground equipment and roads.

There’s also grab-and-go meals that you’ll actually want to eat, like Vietnamese street-food chain Roll’d and fresh or cooked seafood form The Fishery.
