Solange Is Bringing Psychedelic Soul Down Under For Vivid Sydney

Grammy Award-winning writer, singer, songwriter, artist and activist Solange Knowles is well and truly R&B royalty, famed for her soulful voice and unique aesthetic. And, this June, Aussies have the chance to catch her live at the Opera House as part of Sydney’s Vivid LIVE – her only scheduled Australian show for 2018.

You better believe that Queen B’s little sister will fill the Opera House Concert Hall with her incredible vocals, performing her acclaimed breakthrough album, A Seat at the Table, and offering audiences a 360-degree view of her absolute killer choreography.

“Solange Knowles is having her moment on the world stage right now,” Vivid LIVE curator Ben Marshall said in a media release. “With A Seat at the Table’s exploration of black American identity, empowerment and the complexities of black womanhood, she is at the molten-hot intersection of effortlessly cool music and thoughtful activism.”

“Solange’s brilliance in combining spectacular performance with politically-charged music to create a precisely choreographed, fun and riveting neo-soul show points to the future of R&B,” Marshall added.
