PSA: Sydney Is Throwing A Dog Festival This Weekend

In case you missed it, we love dogs. Who wouldn’t? They are, to put simply, just too pure for this earth. The folks of Sydney seem to think so too, because, this weekend, they’re throwing an entire festival in honour of man’s best friend.

The Super Furry Festival is returning to Shannon Reserve on Crown Street, Surry Hills, for it’s fourth year, connecting thousands of Sydneysiders to hundreds of doggos and puppers from 12 animal organisations.

“Omg so good to see you!”

The day will feature a bunch of fun activities for you and your four-legged friend to enjoy. Things will kick off at 10am with a doggy treasure hunt. Later, you can shop for you and your pooch at one of the many market stalls, then kick back on the grass while you and your little buddy listen to some sweet live tunes.

Dog yoga classes are also on offer, so you and your pooch can zen out.

Now, we know what you’re thinking: “Do I need a dog to get in?” You don’t, so you can indulge in some judgement-free dog lurking!

The festival runs from 9am to 3pm on Saturday, October 14. Entry is free, but you’ll still need to register. Registration will score you a free beer at The Carrington, Sydney’s pooch-friendly pub, too.
