A Peony Farm Just Out Of Melbourne Is Giving You The Chance To Pick Your Own Bouquet

We all know about the stunning lavender fields of Tasmania, and recently everyone in New South Wales made the canola fields near Cowra start trending on social media. And let’s not forget Queensland’s sunflower fields. The point is, Aussies love a good flower, so how about the chance to pick your own peonies?
Melbourne, the floral time is yours, thanks to Spring Hill Peony Farm.
Perched in the Central Highlands, about an hour’s drive out of Melbourne, this peony farm is in full bloom and ready for punters to come through and help pick them.
The farm will be holding several pick-your-own-peonies sessions on November 18, 20, 21, 22, 24, 26, 27, 28 and 29. Tickets are $45 each, which includes 15 peonies, and an unlimited time to wander around the farm choosing your favourites. Just FYI, apparently the regular price of 10 stems is $35, so you’re getting a deal and a chance to pick your own.

Our Little Church. Waiting for you all.

They go on sale at 11am on November 13, so you’d better bookmark their website — and please don’t forget to pack your own secateurs, as the farm won’t have any for you (thanks Covid).
Even if you don’t rejoice in peonies as much as Blair Waldorf while decorating for a luncheon (in which case, you’re mad, they’re gorgeous), the farm is frankly worth a drive and a wander anyway. The rustic ‘Little Church’ standing guard at the entrance to peony fields is a popular one for weddings, which should be saying enough about the quaint beauty here.
Happy picking!
