The Philippine archipelago of Palawan is a spectacular place, comprised of 1800 small islets surrounding a central island, limestone caves and crystal clear water.
That’s why it’s been voted the world’s best island by readers of Travel and Leisure magazine for the third time, previously taking out top honours in 2013 and 2016. It was also one of three Asian islands to appear in the top 10 in 2017.
In the annual round up, contenders are rated on the quality of food, activities, beaches and other natural attractions, along with friendliness and overall value. Now you just have to start ticking them off your list.
