Sleep Under The Stars In Africa’s Luxe ‘Bird’s Nest’ Retreat

What better way to immerse yourself in African wildlife than to live as the local fauna does for a night or two? At the Nay Palad Bird Nest Hotel you can do just that in your very own nest.

The above-ground jungle accommodation is built alongside a river at the Segera Retreat, a 60,000-acre wildlife reservation in the Laikipia Plains in Kenya, offering 360-degree views of the beautiful African wilderness beyond.

After a long day of guided wildlife tours or bush walks, guests are guided back to their accommodation and, upon arrival, are treated to a spread of champagne and culinary delights to enjoy on the roof of the nest.

Inside the nest is just as extravagant, with lavish linens and hot water bottles ready for the night ahead.

Guests are woken with a picnic breakfast delivery, where they can watch elephants, giraffes, rhinos and other wildlife gather at the river.

While the Nay Palad Bird Nest is technically designed to sleep two guests, families are also welcome if they’re prepared to sleep in close quarters.
