Normally winter means that Sydney’s Circular Quay and The Rocks become the home of Bastille Festival, a celebration of all things French. That means lots of cheese, chocolate and wine. Of course, the festival isn’t going ahead this year. Instead, you can make your own fondue thanks to its new home delivered DIY kits.
This year, the organisers of the tasty festival have created the Revolution Boxes, DIY kits packed full of French wine and cheese and other delicacies.
There are four Revolution boxes to choose from to help you make your own fondue.
The French Fondue Feast Box is filled with everything you need to make an authentic cheese fondue at home. You’ll get three kinds of cheese, two bottles of wine (one to pair with your cheese, the other to pour into the fondue), baguettes, garlic, and a bottle of cherry liquor.
Don’t worry if you’ve never made fondue before, you’ll also get a step-by-step recipe.
The French Raclette Feast Box has 500g of raclette cheese straight from the wheel, a charcuterie spread of ham, salami and proscuitto, potatoes, pickles, baguettes, and wine.

If you want to skip the cheese and go straight for the wine (sounds fake, but okay), the Tour De France Wine Box comes with six handpicked wines from around France, including Bordeaux and Burgundy.
Lucky last is the massive French Wine and Cheese Feast Box that has 1.5kg of various cheeses, six bottles of wine, baguettes, jams, and access to a live online masterclass with the festival’s sommelier.
The Revolution Boxes are available to order in Sydney now.
