Look At This Incredible Bridge That Just Opened In China
Changsha, the capital of central China’s Hunan province, just welcomed a new addition to its skyline in the form of this Escher-esque bridge reaching across the Dragon King Harbour River.
The bridge is for pedestrians only and it offers a variety of different walking routes, connecting multiple levels – including the river bank, the road and a park – as it rises, falls and twists across its 185 metre span.
It’s called the ‘Lucky Knot Bridge’, as the designers NEXT Architects took inspiration from the ancient Chinese art of decorative knotting.
The visually spectacular bridge is found in the rapidly developing New Lake District area in Changsha, and it’s now open to the public.
As if it wasn’t already spectacular enough, it will be illuminated with an LED light show in the evenings. Seriously, what a bridge.
