The Kiwi Accent Has Been Voted Sexiest In The World If You Can Believe It?
I speak from experience when I say: if there’s one thing that thirsty travellers look for when planning a holiday, it’s hot locals. And now, a new and very important survey has ranked every accent in the world and discovered that people from New Zealand have the best accent of them all. Turns out Aussies mocking the Kiwi accent had it wrong.
Travel site Big 7 polled its readers to create a top 50 list of the sexiest accents in the world. Some people truly do God’s work.

“To a novice ear,” they said, “the New Zealand accent might sound just like the Australian accent, but Big 7 Travel readers disagree. The ‘Newzild’ dialect is outrageously charming. The sexiest accent in the world? It’s official.”

We’re a touch salty that the Aussie accent only came in at number five in the best accent poll, and it looks a lot like Big 7 are negging us in their official statement: “Pronouncing words long and slow – and often skipping the ends of them completely – is a real turn on apparently.”

Coming in at number two is the South African accent, which was praised for its unique tone and slang. Ranked third is Irish, thanks in no small part to Jamie Dornan (hard agree), and fourth place went to the Italian accent (HARD AGREE).
