California’s New Hello Kitty Café Is So Cute We’re Gonna Die
Hello Kitty anything is enough to pique our interest. But give us an adorable new café, kitted out in Kitty paraphernalia where you can enjoy a Hello Kitty-inspired cocktail or afternoon tea and you’ve almost grunted our attendance.
Shut up and take our money! The Hello Kitty Grand Café has opened in Irvine, California.

You’ll find the pretty-in-pink café in the Irvine Spectrum Centre in Orange County – about an hour from Los Angeles, serving a variety of sweet treats, like made-to-order mini doughnuts, cake pops and much more.
The venue’s walls are filled with limited edition Hello Kitty artworks and toys for guests to check out. Plus, a hidden surprise tucked away inside: The Bow Room – a reservation-only spot slinging afternoon tea and evening cocktails.
The afternoon tea service will set you back around US$55 (AU$80) but comes with everything you’ll need for the perfect afternoon, including plenty of snacks like freash in-season fruits, finger sandwiches, cupcakes, macaroons, choccy cake and more.
Settle in and from 5pm, you can order a cheeky cocktail from The Hello Kitty Grand Café’s extensive menu, like the You Had Me At Hello, with cachaca, Aperol, lemon, sherry and pineapple. Or maybe you’d prefer the Matcha Matcha, with Japanese whiskey, yoghurt, matcha, and yuzu.
If we had you at Hello, you can make a reservation at the The Hello Kitty Grand Café via the website.
