As long as humans are here on earth, they’ll look for delicious new ways to serve – and eat – avocado.
Now, Good Fat, an eatery dedicated to everyone’s favourite soft-but-not-too-mushy fruit will pop up in Sydney’s Surry Hills from November 2.
Open for one month only, the entire menu at Good Fat is stacked with tasty avocado treats like Avocado Breakfast Skins (an all-in-one avocado smoothie bowl blended with acai, banana and blueberry and served in an avocado skin) and Avocornetto (avocado ice cream, shaved dark chocolate and short bread cream served in a waffle cone). They’re the brainchild of Sydney chef Liam Crawley, who’s created 20 all-avo dishes for the pop-up.
But the man can’t do it all by himself, so the avo growers behind the pop-up are hiring a Head of Avo Control, who’ll be responsible for tasting all 20 dishes before Good Fat’s doors swing open. They’ll also need to be pretty handy on social media (perfect for anyone who’s ever ‘grammed their #smashedavo) and have a proven track record of successfully selecting ripe avocados.
The successful candidate will eat at Good Fat for free for the entire month of November, with applications due by end of day Wednesday, October 25. If you’re looking for us, we’ll just be over here logging our annual leave.
Good Fat will open from 7am to 9pm, Monday to Saturday, and 8a, to 5pm on Sundays at 355 Crown Street, Surry Hills, until November 30.
