It totally makes sense that the Las Ventanas al Paraiso resort in Los Cabos, Mexico, would be a favourite on the celebrity circuit. For starters, they offer butlers, tailored menus and yoga classes – and that’s just for your dog. Specialised dog butlers are on hand for daily walks, tailor made canine menus, “doga” classes and doggy birthday parties. Honestly, what a time to be alive.

If you’re just a human (*sigh*), you can go on a day-long traditional culinary journey called a “barbacoa”, harvest your own pearls from the Sea of Cortez or do a personalised profiling to determine your Tequila Sign (options include “Adventurous,” “Robust,” “Greedy” or “Herbal” – no option for “Dancing on Tables”, I see). Feeling a little flat by the pool? Why not call on your personal pool butler who will spray you with Evian water to help revive you, and deliver a pre-loaded iPod for all of your listening needs?

Luxury doesn’t come cheap, though – a regular room rate hovers around the $1000AUD/night mark.
