This New Food Festival Lets You Get Up-Close-And-Personal With Some Of The World’s Biggest Chefs

The Curated Plate 2019

Heads up: there’s a new food festival in town and you’re not going to want to miss it. The Curated Plate is a four-day destination food festival on the Sunshine Coast and some of the world’s best chefs are flying into town for the occasion.

The festival will take over the Sunshine Coast’s best restaurants, bars, and breweries from August 8 to 11 and will be comprised of two main events: The Culinary Collective and The Destination Series.

Star chefs like Chase Kojima (Sokyo, Sydney) and Troy Rhoades Brown (Muse, Hunter Valley) will be teaming up with local chefs for The Culinary Collective. Together, they’ll be whipping up incredible, one-off creations using locally grown and sustainable produce.

Standouts include the collaboration between Nelly Robinson, from Sydney’s nel. restaurant and the chef and owner of the famed local restaurant Harry’s on Buderim. The chefs will be creating a six-course degustation with paired wines.

Not content to just show off the best food from the Sunshine Coast, The Curated Plate will also let visitors experience the best activities and adventures that local businesses have to offer.
