In case you missed it, Thor, aka The Internet’s Collective Internet Boyfriend, aka Australia’s most important export, aka Chris Hemsworth is on Instagram, and his uploads are straight fire.

Besides posting the odd shirtless snap (for which we are eternally grateful) the A-lister likes to share with his 36.9 million followers the hottest Aussie holiday spots he enjoys exploring while here at home with his wife and kids.

Whether you’re looking to holiday like a celeb or just want to thirst over some pics of a Hemsworth brother, gird your loins, because we’re about to rank five of Chris Hemsworth’s favourite Aussie holiday destinations based on how wholesome they look on Insta.

#5 Orpheus Island, Queensland

Kicking off this wholesome adventure through the best Hemsworth brother’s (sorry, Liam) Instagram is this cute-as-hell getaway to Orpheus Island in Queensland.

Orpheus is a secluded Great Barrier Reef island offering immaculate coastlines for a tropical escape like no other.

You’ll find Orpheus Island between Cairns and Townsville in Far North Queensland, surrounded by over 3000 acres of national park. Some of the reef’s most diverse ecosystems skirt the island, making it the ultimate place for a spot of snorkelling or scuba diving.

If snorkelling isn’t your jam, Hinchinbrook Island – Australia’s largest island national park – is just a stone’s throw away, the perfect distance for a cheeky day trip. Here, lose yourself in its offering of scenic headlands, waterfalls, secluded beaches and lush rainforests.

Hinchinbrook Island is also home to a bunch of hiking tracks – the perfect way to soak up its beauty.

#4 Byron Bay, NSW

In 2015, Chris Hemsworth packed his family up from Los Angeles and moved to the snoozy coastal town of Byron Bay in NSW – making him the greatest thing to enter Byron since white dudes with dreadlocks rocking ankle bracelets.

Totally kidding! But residing in Byron, you best believe our boy Chris loves posting a good snap of its stunning coastline.

Byron Bay is one of Australia’s most popular holiday spots on the east coast, and for good reason.

If its incredible surf and next-level beaches weren’t enough, Byron also has a killer food scene, incredible markets to explore, is surrounded by awesome national parks and has an ambience that simply can’t be matched.

#3 Hamilton Island, Queensland

Just when you thought Hamilton Island couldn’t get any dreamier, a Hemsworth brother gets his rig out, jumps in a pool and documents it on Instagram. Ooft.

You’re welcome.

Just a short flight from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Cairns, Hamilton Island is pretty much the first thing that springs to mind when you think of Australia’s ultimate island getaway.

Part of the Whitsundays, Hamilton Island it’s just a short distance from the Great Barrier Reef and has loads on offer.

If it’s crystal-clear waters, white-sand beaches, incredible scenery, awesome hiking opportunities, drool-worthy resort pools, or water sports you’re after, Hamilton Island is just the ticket.

#2 Kangaroo Island, South Australia

Have you ever been felt overwhelmed by cuteness while experiencing emotions of extreme jealousy? If you’ve answered no, it’s clear you have never seen this picture of Chris Hemsworth’s biceps wrapped around a koala in a warm embrace.

What did we ever do to deserve you, The Internet?

You can only legally cuddle a koala in three states: Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia, in a select few sanctuaries and wildlife parks where visits are strictly monitored, and the koalas are very well cared for.

And, you guessed it, Kangaroo Island is one of those places.

You’ll find Kangaroo Island just off the mainland of South Australia. Over a third of the island is protected in nature reserves home to native wildlife making it the perfect escape to surround yourself around all things green and good for you.

#1 Rottnest Island, Western Australia

Who can forget earlier in the year when Chris Hemsworth broke the internet with a picture that still keeps us awake at night? We are, of course, talking about the impossibly cute selfie he took with a quokka at Rottnest Island in Western Australia.

We’re not crying, you’re crying!

The quokkas on Rottnest Island have become quite the social media celebrities, with the internet going absolutely bonkers for their cute, dumb, adorable faces and willingness to pose next to strangers.

Besides taking selfies with marsupials, there’s heaps to do on Rottnest Island, including – but not limited to – kayaking, skydiving, gold, fishing and surfing. There’s also a bunch of wildlife activities, like whale watching and snorkelling.
