Some mash-ups are sent from the heavens: espresso and martinis, pizza and mac and cheese and golden retriever x corgi mixes, to name a few. And now we have bumper cars and ice skating, together at last. Our very specific prayers have been answered. Bumper Cars on Ice is a winter-themed pop-up event in Sydney and Melbourne.
Bumper Cars on Ice is exactly what it sounds like – you and your mates can drive specially-designed bumper cars around an ice rink to slip, slide and smash into each other until your hearts are content.

A ticket will score you 15 minutes of Fast and Furious-inspired driving action on the ice for $37.84. People in Melbourne will also have the option of purchasing an all-day skate pass that lets you take to the ice ring on foot between bumper car rounds for an extra $20.85.
There’s also a bar at each venue so you can warm up with cocktails and mulled wine (after your ride – don’t drink and bumper car-drive, people) and Friday and Saturday nights between 7 and 10pm are for adults only.
