Well, it’s about damn time. Sydney’s Surry Hills will be hosting a doughnut festival this weekend, gathering a bunch of baking crackerjacks to cook up a verified buffet of hol(e)y sweets.
‘Day of the Donut‘, organised by bake stall maestros the Flour Mill, will see doughnuts dished out by the likes of Brewtown Newtow, Donut Papi, Doughnut Time, Grumpy Donuts, My Donut Box, Nutie, Shortstop and Woah! Nelly Bakes – many of whom made it on to our definitive list of Sydney’s best doughnut shops.

It’s all going down at 74 Commonwealth Street, Surry Hills, this Saturday July 30 with doughnuts being rolled out from 9am ’til sold out. Get there early, or beat the crowds by buying one of these limited Early Riser tickets, allowing entry from 8:30am. Kids under 12 can enter for free, and big kids over the age of 12 will have to part with a $2 coin at the door.
Happy doughnutting.
