After what seems like an eternity of winter months, you may have noticed that summer is indeed on its way. Cue the cider, ice cream and long nights outdoors even despite the mosquitos that insist on spending their summer holiday on your legs.
The wonderful folk at Ben & Jerry’s, purveyors of highly addictive ice-cream, have been putting on summer ~fiestas~ since 2003, bringing music by day and openair films by night to the people of ‘Straya. This year, they’re growing like you wouldn’t believe: there’s not one, not even two, but THREE new Ben & Jerry’s Openair Cinema venues including an expansion over the pond to New Zealand. As well as the existing venues at St Kilda Beach, Brisbane’s South Bank, Bondi Beach, Canberra’s Patrick White Lawn, Adelaide’s Glenelg Beach and East Perth, those beautiful dairy-creators are popping up in Auckland, Broadbeach and Sydney’s inner-west. Par-TAY!
With new release films and cult classics, live music and DJs, and free ice-cream on Sundays for all ticketholders – I’ll repeat that, FREE ICE-CREAM – we’re so very excited about this that we want you all to go have a boogie, bevvy and Ben & Jerry’s immediately.
