If you’re tired of hearing about the same old travel destinations, maybe it’s time to shake up your searches. Youth travel operator Topdeck has just revealed a new trio of routes to get you hyped about a holiday.
The company is now setting up trips in 2020 and 2021 to three fascinating destinations: Sri Lanka, Georgia (the European country, not the US state) and Ecuador & The Galápagos.
These new Topdeck itineraries are part of the company’s new ‘Feel Real’ campaign.
The company responded to research conducted across Australia, New Zealand, the US and the UK. Its findings: millennial and Gen Z travellers want “more unfiltered” travel experiences.
As Topdeck’s Global General Manager Charles Knowlton puts it, “We’ve extended our range of products to include more immersive, raw and off-the-grid destinations and experiences.”
Read on for the three new itineraries. You can find out more – and lock in your trip – on the website.
Sri Lanka
Departing between July 2020 and March 2021
The 11-day itinerary is stacked with sights across Sri Lanka. You’ll travel from Negombo to Galle and back, starting seaside and working up to the ancient Sigiriya Rock Fortress in the Matale District. From there you’ll take a jeep safari through Minneriya National Park and discover Sri Lanka’s food and tea culture.
Georgia (EU)
Departing 27 July 2020 and 31 August 2020
The nine-day group trip to Georgia goes deep on the capital of Tbilisi, before expanding out. You’ll visit the 4th century Narikala Fortress overlooking Tbilisi and travel to the 3000-year-old city of Mtskheta. The tour continues to Stepantsminda in the Caucasus Mountains, where you’ll take in the Mt Kazbegi glacier and much more. You’ll even learn how to make Georgian dumplings.
Ecuador & The Galápagos
Departure 29 August 2020
This one-off trip through Ecuador and The Galápagos spans two weeks, beginning high in the Andes at the foot of a volcano. Sights include the snow-capped mountains of the capital Quito and the serenity of the Yunguilla cloud forest. The trip also takes in hot springs and lush rainforest on its route from Papallacta to the port city of Guayaquil.
