The most Instagrammed spots in Australia for 2016 have been revealed, and they’re all pretty #nofilter worthy.
We’re a bloody beautiful country, we are, and that’s never more evident than when perusing the halo-worthy #Australia hashtag on Instagram. Instagram’s Year In Review stats all but confirm this, with the list denoting the most geo-tagged locations in Australia for 2016.
With more than seven million active Instagram users in Australia alone, let’s just say we know a good Insta moment when we see one – and more often than not, it involves a handsome looking beach. Reigning champion was Sydney’s Bondi Beach, followed closely by Surfers Paradise Beach on the Gold Coast. Melbourne’s St Kilda beach got a look in, as did the highly Instagrammable Grounds of Alexandria, an iconic homestyle restaurant and coffee hub in Sydney that features one hell of an organic garden.
New South Wales was the most Instagrammable state with five entries in the top ten, followed closely by Victoria with four and Queensland with one.
