OK, so you’ve decided where you’re going next, you’ve had your leave approved and you’ve booked your flights. Great! Now, it’s time for one of your most important decisions to maximise the potential of your holiday: which neighbourhood will you stay in once you arrive at your city of choice?
Do you want to be able to stumble home from a nearby superclub at 3am? Do you want to be surrounded by leafy green spaces? Or maybe you want to be no more than 20 metres from a coffee shop at all times? The right neighbourhood can make you holiday that much sweeter, and a good area to stay in is a question on the lips (well, fingertips) of every traveller heading to a new place:
Thankfully, home-sharing service Airbnb has a few hints for you. Over 40 million people stayed at an Airbnb in 2015, and the company have crunched the numbers and rounded up the 16 neighbourhoods that saw the highest percentage of growth last year, shedding some light on the sections of cities that are totally #ontrend right now.

Trending for: its cafe-lined streets, organic food stores and proximity to the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

130% growth
Trending for: the surfing, the scenery, the local warungs (restaurants) and the famous cliff–hanging temple at Uluwatu.

145% Growth
