Sweet Cheesus, A Pop-Up Pizza Museum Is Coming To NYC

The Met, the Museum of Modern Art, and the American Museum of Natural History – just a few of the names that spring to mind when thinking about New York‘s world-class museums.

But if you’re after the most authentic – or at least delicious – NYC experience, look no further than The Museum of Pizza (MoPi), an interactive experience dedicated to everyone’s favourite cheesy, saucy carb.

The Museum of Pizza is the world’s first and only immersive art experience celebrating all things pizza.

When ideating the artistic tribute, the team behind MoPi considered all five senses, and carefully took into consideration the feelings you get when demolishing a slice.

Museumgoers can expect to be treated to an array of exciting installations, including but not limited to a pizza cave, pizza funhouse, a pizza beach and an interactive history (and untold story) of pizza.

Best of all, a cut of every ticket sold will be donated by the Museum to provide a free meal for a family in need. And, every ticket holder will get their hands on one free slice at the venue.

There’s loads more to be announced (including the museum’s exact location) in the months and weeks leading up to MoPi’s grand opening, so keep an eye on its website for updates.

The New York leg of the pizza journey will run from Saturday October 13 through to Sunday, October 28. Tickets start at $45 ($35USD) and can be booked online.
