Let This Tiny Beach Bar Fuel Your Euro Summer Wanderlust

Moro Beach Bar Croatia

Bigger isn’t always better, and this tiny, adorable beach bar at Moro Beach Club on the equally tiny island of Vela Stupe proves it.

Situated between the island of Korcula and Croatia’s Peljesac peninsula, two hours north-west of Dubrovnik, Vela Stupe is easy to miss on Google Maps. The beach club opened just over a month ago, and comprises a restaurant, lounge, and cocktail bar.

Stocking an extensive collection of wines, the beach club operates as normal during the day, and transforms into a fine-dining destination with a variable, locally sourced menu at night. Visitors to the island are encouraged to berth their boats (as one does) at the island’s pier, irrespective of if they intend to dine at the restaurant, and make use of the facilities. That means the waterfront hut (it’s open from 7am to 2am daily).

If you don’t recognise the bar, you’ll certainly recognise the idyllic over-water swing set that sits just footsteps away. Anyone who’s got friends frolicking in the Adriatic for the European summer will, no doubt, have seen it all over their feeds.
