On today’s episode of Taking Perfectly Good Food And Choosing To Mess With It, a pub in London has brewed a limited-edition Avocado Beer because apparently our obsession with the stone fruit hasn’t gone far enough.

Now there’s been a lot of chat around whether avocados are in fact vegan, due to the reason that they require the labour of bees to be produced. But this brewery claims its avocado beer is 100 percent vegan, choosing to avoid the animal-derived products many other breweries use to clarify their beer.

The brew has been created by combining dark malts with a subtle creamy avocado flavour and aroma, meaning you can enjoy an extra kick on Vitamin C in your nightcap. Don’t sweat though, it’s not bright green which might have been a little, uh, off-putting.
Avocado beer is launching just in time for Vegan Month in November. You can drop by the Long Arm Pub and Brewery from Monday, November 5 to try it for yourself.
